Local, cool indie Up Up Books is now selling copies of Planet Grim (7.13 Books) along with the limited release chapbook “Cold Plum Wine” by Picture Frame Press (100 copies — that’s it!). I wrote one of the stories and John McManus, the other.

I found a poem online, like a phantom, in the quiet rooms of Ghost City Press. I didn’t know they’d published it. It’s “Month Three.” As a ritual, for the first three months until the anniversary of my fiancé’s death, I wrote a poem. This is the first one. So this was published in Sept 2023, the third year after I took him to the hospital, where we stayed and stayed and stayed. We went the day the skies were orange.
